Our former Secretary, Michael Enright (Mansfield), is on our Advisory Council. Michael was a visiting student at Mansfield and returned there to earn an M.Phil. in Comparative Government. He earned his first degree at Santa Clara University.

VICE-PRESIDENT, INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY

Joseph Wickremasinghe (Exeter) is our Vice-President, Information Technology. In this capacity, he oversees the purchase, development implementation, and maintenance of the hardware and software systems, including databases, electronic mail distribution, and the website, used in support of Club activities and Club membership. He also provides information technology support for the Officers and ensures that all data is held securely. Joseph earned his first degree at Oxford, where he read Physics, and also holds a degree from the University of Maryland.

VICE-PRESIDENT, SOCIAL EVENTS

Sunil Iyer (Lady Margaret Hall) is our Vice President, Social Events. He is responsible for organizing events both within the Oxford alumni network and among various other alumni groups in the area. Sunil earned his B.A. from Oxford, where he read Mathematics.

VICE-PRESIDENT, MEMBERSHIP

Reza Ilkhani (Kellogg) is our Vice President, Membership. He is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and completeness of our membership records, as well as defining our list of Branch members eligible to stand for office or vote at our Annual General Meeting. He works with other members of the Executive Committee to develop membership drives and engagement programs. Reza earned his MSc from Oxford with a focus on healthcare economics of cancer immunotherapy. He also holds an MBA from the University of Chicago and earned his first degree in economics from Berkeley.

SECRETARY

Simon McElrea (St. Catz) is our Secretary. He is currently CEO of LQDX Inc., a Silicon Valley semiconductor company. Simon also holds Board/Advisory roles at Freepower.io and Catalsys Inc. and has been working in Tech, running several startup and public companies, since leaving Oxford in the mid 1990’s. A native of Northern Ireland, Simon currently enjoys a little more sunshine at his home in Santa Cruz with his wife and two young boys.

VICE-PRESIDENT, COMMUNICATIONS

Ian Croft is our Vice President, Communications. He is the first point of contact for those reaching out to the society, and is also responsible for both managing the OUS-NorCal email list and writing the society’s newsletter. Ian is a graduate of the University of Oxford’s Diplomatic Studies Programme.

John Clark (Jesus) is our Treasurer. He has custody of the Club funds and is responsible for keeping correct and complete records of account, budget preparation, and handling dues payments.
